It is made of an iron sheet from a GAZ-3302 car (aka 'Gazel' or 'Gazelka'), broken by shrapnel after it has been under fire. Author found the car in spring 2015 in Severodonetsk. It is the experience of the substance that is under special attention, the experience of destroyed everyday life, the experience that has been denied subjectivity and voice. Is it possible to imagine a flag of victims who express their thoughts without being backed by force? Can destroyed buildings and broken things, animals and plants affected by the fighting, be a similar flag? As the poem says, "From my bed the blanket fled. And the sheet refused to stay," the flag embodies a phantasm of revolt of things, and awakening of a subject, where no one have expected it. An insurgent-thing may try to revenge, maybe will try to save, or maybe will expresses something that no one expects her is able to express.
